# Connect another AI app

Choose setup instructions for your AI app and verify the connection.

Start in **Settings → Integrations → Manage MCP** in Meet Alto. Its setup cards provide connection details and, where available, an install link or a prompt for your coding agent.

These guides use `https://app.meetalto.ai/mcp` with browser OAuth sign-in. Your client must support remote Streamable HTTP MCP and OAuth. Custom connections may depend on its plan, version and administrator policies.

## Compatibility and a successful connection

Configuration instructions do not guarantee that every client version has completed a Meet Alto connection test. Claude has a recorded production connection and draft-campaign smoke check; Claude Code and Codex have earlier preview-environment checks. Other guides are based on setup implementation and client documentation, with end-to-end verification still pending.

Use the same success check in every app: have it read the intended workspace name using a Meet Alto tool. A saved configuration, successful sign-in or visible tool list alone is insufficient. Start a new session if the running conversation has not loaded the tools.

## OpenClaw, Hermes and Grok

Use the matching **Manage MCP** setup card for these clients. It provides the relevant commands or configuration. With OpenClaw, use a personal instance or have your administrator arrange individual authorization on a shared gateway. With Hermes, configure and sign in within the same active profile.

Grok's website connector and Grok Bot are separate products. Grok Bot setup should first check for a documented remote MCP installation method; do not assume the website's connector steps apply.

For another app, use its documented remote OAuth flow. A client that only runs local MCP processes needs a different connection method; copying this URL into a local command field will not work.

## Already connected somewhere else?

Configuration belongs to the client and its environment. Adding a server to VS Code's GitHub Copilot does not automatically configure the Codex extension. Local configuration also does not establish a hosted ChatGPT web connection. Follow the guide for the app that will run the tools.

If setup fails, use [MCP troubleshooting](/mcp/troubleshooting.md). To change workspace or revoke access, use [permissions and access](/mcp/permissions.md).
