# Shape your brand voice

Give the AI a clear identity, useful boundaries, and examples of how your business speaks.

Open **Settings → AI Training → Brand Identity**. Brand identity describes your business and communication style; [Knowledge Sources](/using-meet-alto/knowledge.md) hold the facts needed to answer questions.

## Set the foundation

Enter or review your business name, website, and contact details. If you scan a website to fill these in, check the results yourself. A scan is a starting point, not approval of every extracted fact.

Write **Brand Guidelines** that a teammate could follow. Include the tone, the audience, what a helpful response should do, and the situations that need a person. Keep factual policies in knowledge so they have one clear home.

For example, adapt this fictional guidance to your business:

> Be warm and concise. Answer the question before offering a next step. Ask one useful follow-up question at a time. If the answer depends on information we do not have, say so and offer help from the team. Never promise a discount or delivery date that is not in our approved information.

## Add voice examples

Where **Voice examples** are available, pair a realistic customer message with a response you would actually send. Include a routine question and a difficult interaction. A concrete example such as a calm response to a complaint teaches more than several conflicting tone adjectives.

Wait for **Saved**, then reopen or reload to confirm the intended content persisted. In **AI Playground**, test several messages and compare the result with your examples.
