# MCP

Work with Meet Alto from an AI assistant using permission-based tools.

Work with your Meet Alto workspace from an AI conversation. Ask your assistant to find a knowledge gap, prepare an agent playbook, review a campaign, or explain your results using current workspace data.

Model Context Protocol (MCP) lets your AI app call Meet Alto tools. You describe the task; the assistant uses the tools your connection can access. Meet Alto MCP is in beta.

Meet Alto's operational MCP uses `https://app.meetalto.ai/mcp`. To read these guides from your assistant, use the separate [docs MCP and LLM-ready formats](/llm-ready-docs.md). The docs connection cannot operate your workspace.

A tool appearing in the reference does not grant access to it. Your connection's permissions, workspace role, plan, and account capabilities still apply. For changes, ask the assistant to show the intended account and proposed result before it acts.
